Innumerable amounts of videos on youtube will show you the effects of this. The worst one has a guy who swallows a WHOLE lot of mentos and then downs an entire 2 liter of diet soda. In that case it ended up shooting out of both his ends and he got really sick. It's not pretty. It's more fun to just open the soda a pour a pack of mentos in. Make sure you're outside. And watch it blow!

ud have to drink about 2 liters and 2 packs of mentos to do some real stomach damage. anything less ud feel a bit sick. but no real harm

Well its the form of the mentos that causes the largest part of the reaction. The is covered in tiny pits that form nucleation sites for the CO2 to from at. So as long as you chewed them a bit first nothing would happen. In the worst case, if you were actually trying to do yourself harm eg. skull a large amount of diet Pepsi then swallow a mentos whole. I imagine you would just really need to burp. But its not impossible that the large amount of gas releases very quickly could do you harm, so I wouldn't try it.

not a whole lot. there may be some bubbling and it may shoot out of your mouth but only if taken immediately after each other. Once the soda loses its carbonation(bubbliness) the trick won't work.
