My friend said he stole a prepaid phone from the store and he asked me how to activate it. So, he took a virgin mobile phone. So if he went to the website, and entered in the phones info, would the phone be activated, or would it need to be like scanned at the cashier before it could begin working? Thnx 4 dee answers

  1. won't work!! Simple really (like your 'friend'!) Phone has to be activated, and this will not happen with a stolen sim! If the phone was used with an activated in use sim, I would think that your 'friend' would still be caught out as the sim would identify the phone! Thieves???? Can't stand 'em.

  2. stupid of your friend... they'll be able to catch him when he tries to activate the phone.

  3. tell your "friend" that if he enters the phone info and his adress the company will track him down becasue the store will file that phone missing.

his idea was stupider then stealing a cd and bringing it back the next day for a refund.

  4. Your friend needs to take the phone back if it is not and he tries to activate it they will catch him with the stolen phone!

  5. it will not work!!

remember you will have to give so much personal info. when you go online....! like your name, address, home-phone number, credit card.....and everything has to match....tell your friend , forget it.....and don't hang around him any longer!!

yes, MV has an magnetic chip inside the oyster-shell package...and the cashier has to activate it!!

its like ppl stealing pre-paid phone cards.....same thing.....has to be activated by the cashier first......

  6. it is worth, you need to activate it and if you do you will get busted and why on earth would you post in a public forum you stole something why not also print your name adress ect??

  7. Probably have to do the decoding, and its very possible that they will track the phone and cach him.
