Soon I'm moving to different country, i need to take some of my electrics as in ps3, home theatre system, etc... most of them i think work on 220v/50Hz standard for UK, would it be OK to use them safely on220v/60Hz ? does it make any difference in their performance ?

  1. Look at the power requirements listed on the specifications page in your manuals.  That will tell you whether or not your equipment can run on 220v 50Hz.

Or another thing you can do is find a plate near the power cord that lists the power requirements.  If it says 115/220VAC  50/60Hz then you are safe.

Many electronic products use switching power supplies that can handle both voltages and frequencies with no problems.  However, I would not run anything that does not say it is compatible with 220v/50Hz.  Some products use the 60Hz as a timing signal and hooking it up to 50Hz would upset the timing.
