What would happen if we made the ozone?

scientists know what the ozone is made up of i think its

O + O = O3 but im not sure anyway if we know what the ozone is made up of why dont we produce it? It is true that the atmospheric ozone layer is less dense that the grounds ozone (bad) but if we were able to produce enough of it wouldent we clean the air and eventualy reverse global warming or another thing that could happen is that the atmospheric ozone would eventualy "lift up" the bad ozone so it would be out of our atmosphere? and if its light enough wouldent it just "spread" itself over the globe to patch up any holes in our ozone like the one in antarctica? Just a thought im only 15 but im just curious as to what would happen i mean its not like it could realy hurt us if it has been on earth for more than 4 billion years. JW

Hey man we're making ozone every day when we burn fuel in our vehicles.  It's a key component in smog.  Problem is ozone sucks for humans to breathe and in urban areas under hot stagnant conditions low-level ozone builds up causing all kinds of difficulties for elderly, children and people with asthma or other breathing problems.

Ozone serves a purpose wwaaaayyyy up there... but we haven't figured out yet how to get it above Australia (which whereabouts the ozone hole is) to repair what we did using aerosols and whatnot.

See don't listen to April on that OK It ain't no cycle to have a hole that wasn't there before. - We burned a hole in our ozone layer before you were born - banned a bunch of chemicals and the good news is the hole started to repair itself.  

Now you make darn sure you pay attention in HS science!  You gotta graduate with one solid concept:  What is Science and how does it work.  It sounds silly, but bro you will be surprised.

Ozone is mean!  Meaner than Diane Feinstein!  Everything ozone touches at ground level turns into bad stuff.  We do produce it a ground level, however, it is very harmful for us.  Ozone is only good at high altitude.  You are a great person!!
