and you yank the emergency brake? Will the car slam to a stop? Will the e-brake break?

  1. it depends on how hard you yank the e-brake, and if you keep it there.  if you have good brakes and your e-brake is adjusted well, you'll end up dragging the rear wheels to a halt.  turn the steering wheel and you'll end up drifting, haha!

oh and the e-brake shouldnt break, but i could be wrong

  2. none of the above.... it will probably spin out if you use both the e-brake and the brakes or turn the wheel sharply. the car will slow down, probably stall out, and smell funny for a bit.

oh and for the foreigner above, stick shift=manual

  3. First you will need new tires and second you could kill yourself plain and simple....

  4. oh you foolish americans and your not driving manual cars

  5. The back wheels would lock, car will quickly lose control and probably spin around 180 and end up hitting something.

If it's a manual (stick shift - you Americans) then the car would stall once as it stopped unless the clutch was in.

  6. If you do that and then turn the wheel really tight you will make cookies.  We have done it before.

  7. Might as well you ask... what if I drive at 650mph and brake suddenly? Will I stop immediately and break the laws of inertia?
