What would happen if you are trapped in a dust storm?

like if you're standing outside and there's no shelter nearby, the dust storm approached and engulfed you, there is as dark as a moonless night. without any breathing aid.

Take cloth (your shirt or anything available) and cover your mouth, nose, eyes, and ears. The sand and pebbles will sting your skin if it is exposed, but other than that you should usually be alright if you keep your face covered.

Of course, if you can get inside any type of shelter (even a small tent) you will be much better off.
