What would happen if you got pulled over with only a permit?

Out of curiosity, (i dont even have a permit nor would i do this by the way) what would happen if you were pulled over for speeding or something and you only had a permit, yet you were driving alone? What would the cop do?

  1. At MINIMUM, they should take away your permit and you won't be eligible for a license until you are older than the normal driving age.  I'm not sure about AZ, but MOST states would not impound the car unless there was no one that could take the car home.  Calling a friend or relative with a license is usually allowed.


  2. They can impound the car and take away your permit and not allow you to get your license until your 18.


  3. Actually they are supposed to impound the car. They don't have to necessarily take you to jail, just depends on the cop. They can take you to jail and it can hinder how soon you will get your license. A nice cop may let you off with a warning and have you call someone to come get you and the car.  It just depends. Age will play a major role.

  4. It's just a bad idea-

    You will get a citation or be arrested depending on the officer & your attitude, your car can be impounded, your parents will be called to get you if <18, you will likely be prohibited from getting your license for a period of time.
