What would happen if you got sucked into a whirlpool/vortex???

Yes you would go to the bottom. If you do get stuck in the whirlpool you should go with the flow. It will eventually spit you out, so  just hold your breath.

and yes you end up at the bottom of the water, that is if the whirlpool is large enough.

haha, i just watched a mythbusters about whirlpools right before getting on yahoo. according to myth busters, it sucks you down with great pressure, and it was "plausible" that you could die to one.
