What would happen if you touched a hummingbird and it's wings?

Not sure what type of an answer you are looking for..I have touched many hummingbirds and their wings, and nothing happened.  They can be quite delicate in hand..so I am very gentle when handling them.  I would not advise anyone to capture a hummingbird just for fun.

Well, you do stress the bird, but it does feel good in your hand.  I have handled many birds.  Not a one has died.  But yes catching and handling any bird stresses the heck out of it.  However, it is the only way we get good tracking data.

I to would not recommend catching hummers just for fun.  They are far too fragile.  Besides, it is illegal.  Leave the wild to the wild.
