  1. uh, radha, you're joking right.  robotic vehicles have been sent to mars but no astronauts to this point.  maybe you should pay attention to your own research.  anyways it will be very informative when they are able to set foot on the planet.  it's one thing to have a small robot scouring the soil, but it's a whole other thing to have humans exploring this place while making educated decisions as to where to investigate.

  2. astronauts have stepped on mars already, and have even brought some rocks from the soil over there. aren't you upgraded? you should research before asking. they've found ice caps on opposite ends, as well. but no sign of life there yet.

  3. Depending on where you are on Mars and the time of day the temperature probably wouldn't be what kills you, but the Mars atmosphere is so thin that even at the top of mount everest wouldn't compare, being on the very edge of space completely unprotected would be about what it's like on Mars, so you would die from the extreme atmosphereic pressure before you would die from the cold.

  4. The air pressure on Mars is roughly equivalent to high in our stratosphere - you would not survive without a space suit.  Plus it is usually very cold - another reason for keeping your suit on.
