  1. what u said, same person, different personality

  2. split,

    same as mother and child,

  3. It will be doubled :D x

  4. clone is a clone - exact same

  5. Nothing - you would be you having your experiences - the clone would have his own experiences.

  6. It would be a completely different person, although with exactly your DNA signature. It would be more like fraternal twins, although in this case, you wouldn't be raised at the same time by the same parent, etc. Your conciousness would remain your own. Cloning just produces a second warm body, it doesn't duplicate your mind.

  7. (Concise means less wordy.) Your consciousness would remain the same but your clone would have a separate consciousness.

  8. If you're talking about a scientifically made clone (not fantasy) you would have the same genetic make up, but would have a completely different personality. Those types of things are altered by environment.  Look at identical twins. They have the exact same DNA, but are entirely different beings.

You would have no mental or physical connection with the clone, beside the DNA.

  9. All commercial banana plants are clones;but thy produce bananas at different times of the year(depending on where they are growing)and the bunches are different sizes ,depending on local conditions. So you might without knowing better think they were different species. The problem is that they have IDENTICAL genes;so if a disease arises which attacks banana plants then it is possible ALL commercial banana plants will be wiped out;currently I understand there is some worry about this risk all over the world.

  10. Your conscious would not be the same as it is the sum total of your experiences..not your clones.

  11. we would have 2 people with an IQ of 80 instead of 1 whoopee dooo!!!!

  12. Identical twins are clones of each other, and they don't have exactly the same personalities.

    There is no paradox.

While there is certainly *some* genetic influence into behaviour and personality, just as important (or probably more important) are the sum of experiences that a person undergoes; these are what "builds" a personality.

So if you were cloned, it would be an entirely different person whi just happened to look just like you.

PS - I am assuming you means "consciousness" (The state of being conscious or aware), rather than "conciseness" (The property of being succinct, brief and precise).

  13. Nothing would happen to you.  The other person would have a separate soul with a nearly identical body.

  14. It is amazing how people just buy into the government / right-wing religious priopaganda concerning the nature of a true human clone. They just believe, without a thread of imperical evidence to support it, whatever the status quo --- kind of like the "flat-earth," and "earth-centered universe."  As far was we are allowed to know, the government says  that no humans have been cloned.  As such, we do not and cannot know for certain just what the nature and consciousness relationship would be between a true human clone and their genomic donor.  However, we can make some fairly good guesses based upon human twin (pseudo-clones) studies.  I have seen at least three such studies conducted by news programs such as 20 / 20, 60 minutes, Dateline, and others all clearly suggesting that there exist a commonality link between twins that's seen both in their biology, personality, and to a large degree, shared consciousness.  I have personally talked to twins which stated they could at times know what the other was thinking without eye contact.  This is a true phenomenion.  Is there physics to support such a thing, yes. It's called quantum physics---entanglement and quantum holographic.

Given what we know about commonality with mere human pseudo-clone twins, how much more commonality can we expect between a true human clone and their genomic DNA donor, much more, I feel.

In all likelihood, as the cloned individual matures, their mind and consciousness would become one and the same; two near identical bodies and minds sharing two separate places in space and time.  This is exactly why the government and the church rushed to ban human cloning world wide.  If the people every found out the truth, they would demand access to cloning technology. Human cloning would force dynamic change upon old static governmental and religious based instituitions. It would literally destroy the very foundation tradition and religions are based upon.  Of course they wasted no time denying the people the truth about the matter.

We have the technology to achieve human cloning with a minimum loss in eggs and embryos.  We have the technology to solve all cloned related problems that we've seen in "some" cloned animals. Human cloning is, in my opinion, the first step in a series of steps that will lead to significant extension of the useful human life span. These are the very reasons they ban that technology---maintaining the status-quo, fear, and simple foolishness.

We cannot know anything for certain about human cloning until humans have been successfully cloned and evaluated over a period of time.

  15. You would be living as the same person you are but the other person that was cloned from you would look exactly the same. They would start out as an infant though (I believe) and grow up to look exactly like you do.

  16. James, there would just be that much more of you to love.
