What would happen to the earth and life if the wind on earth stopped?

Revelation 7:1

After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.

There would be many that will die.  The wind is what pushes rain from ocean to land or carries lake effect rain or snow to land.  Hot still air would also play a role in the death of some people.  There would be no air circulation as well the keep the air fresh.

About a third of the world would die from this.
