What would happen to the gymnast He is she's found to be underage?

It's so obvious that she is ... but say they prove she's underage. Aside from being stripped of her medal, will the rest of the team lose theirs? Will she be allowed to compete at the next olympics? who will be punished? china, just her, just the team, etc?

She is already being punished, the Chinese just lost any future judging " status " that comes from being a champion in the next games.  They screwed innocent athletes from China in 2012.

For some reason I don't believe they will take her medals.  Didn't this happen before?  I remember a chinese gymnast in the past admitting she was underage but nobody cared.  I don't want the child to lose her medals. But I do hope that everyone in China's government will have to wear t-shirts saying, "We CHEATED in 08' olympics!"

If the age allegations are proven:

The team all-around medal would be stripped, as would He's individual medals.

As far as any ban or probation, that would depend on who was complicit in the cheating.  He may or may not face a ban, but it probably wouldn't last long enough to cover the next Olympics.  The Chinese Olympic Committee might also face sanctions, as the government would have had to have a major hand in the conspiracy by issuing a false passport.

Again, this is only if the allegations are proven.

If she is found to be underage, all her medals (individual and team) will be striped and given to the next person in line.  i.e. 2nd becomes 1st, 3rd becomes 2nd and 4th gets 3rd.  The problem with this though is how many people did she s***w that should have been competing for a metal but didn't cause she took their place.

The punishment depends on what the IOC decided.  You may see that since China's Olympic commitee commited the violation they may be banned from certain events in the next Olympics.

1.  Is she a girl?

2.  Did she perform better than the other girls?

like they did to the American relay team where one of them admitted to doping
