  1. If they stayed open for too long your eyes would eventually lose enough moisture to cause scarring and permanent damage to the cornea.

  3. Well -this is sort of a silly answer, but the truth- it is impossible! But, if if did happen, i'd say your eyes would dry out, and or you would get lots of dust in your eyes!

  4. They would be dry and dusty, and if you sneezed they would pop out.  Also you wouldn't be able to sleep unless you can sleep with your eyes open.

  5. They would really dry out, and your eyes would be very easy to damage.  For example, you could get a piece of dirt in there and instead of being washed out by your tears, it would stay in your eye and scratch the surface. Ouch.
