I have been told to start with a 250 by some then told by others "no way" since my wife will be riding on back. Worse case scenario - if my wife and I with a total weight of 320 lbs which is under the gross weight limit for all 250s I am looking at go for a ride every day along county roads at a leisurely speed range from 30- 50 mph, what will happen if I do it on a 250? Will it not go 50 with us on it? Will the engine blow up? Will the bike not maneuver well and risk a crash? What?

Thanks

  1. You should post in motorcycle category... but for 2 people I wouldn't want to ride a 250. If your buying a small bike because of money limitations or good gas mileage, it'll work but won't be too comfy or fun.

  2. I'd go with a 500, the 250 with two people will have sluggish performance, every thing else handling etc would be OK. With the cost of gas and considering that a 250 or 500 will not cost a ton of money get a pair of bicycles.
