  1. History points out that whenever an "empire" falls, thereby creating a power vacuum, it is immediately filled by another "empire."

The key issue is not that the US should get the h**l out of the way, but how can we as friends and allies help them get back on track?  When I say allies, I'm including all of NATO and any other country that is within the American sphere of friendly relations.  Kirk's answer mostly reflects what I've said and I agree with him wholeheartedly.

Canada would be most concerned about who would fill the power vacuum.  IMO, the US is still the best country to be in that position, regardless of their temporary period of insanity.

  2. Canada is to the North of the United States so they look down on it. So does the rest of the world, regardless of where we live.

  3. Without the USA there would be another powerful country that would heavily influence world affairs.  The influence would be different depending on which country that was.

  4. we would finally legalize marajuana, stop spending so much money on terrorist protection and military...because we would be less associated with you guys (therefore less disliked) you guys as in americans

we could all grow our own weed....so? then there wouldnt be any weed dealers or people getting shot over weed...less arrests over stupid ammounts of pot, means more police time to find rapists etc.. or the govnt could sell it like it does tobacco, that would mean more taxes for them and they could control it alot more, and have less people getting laced pot!
