What would happend if i connect a 220 volts tv into 110 volts?

  1. Hi,

    Please do not do this because it is useless. Your tv will not operate at 110 volts because there would be not enough power to operate. The power supply is designed for 220 volts. If you connect a 110 volts tv to a 220 volt outlet, the tv will fry or even will catch on fire. The 220 volts acts like a surge voltage. This is what they mean by a surge voltage. Your equipments get more voltage than the required 110 volts. The surge bars prevents the voltage from going over 110 volts. The other thing you need to know is that a PAL tv will not work in North America as we have NTSC signals.

  2. You wouldn't be able to get the AC plug to fit properly in the first place....So try all day, and you'll get nothing out of it....
