If Whitaker was at his best, say, at Lightweight or Jr. Welterweight. And he fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. at one of those weights, what would the result have been?

I think both were at the height of their powers when they were Jr. Welters.

Who wins this fight?

Personally, I think you'd be hard pressed to think of a better macth up in boxing history.

I think Whitaker would have found a way to solve Floyd's style and confuse him. And lets not forget the great speed Whitaker had in his youth, unlike later in his career when he slowed down a lot.

I say Whitaker by decision.

What do you think?

  1. whitakers' southpaw stance makes the difference and in a boring fight, pernell takes the decision

  2. I agree I think whitaker would take this one in a close competitive fight and unlike the other 2 guys i think this fight would be the opposite of boring. Would  have been an amazing fight.

  3. Whitaker would outclass Floyd, something like 9 rounds to 3, maybe 8-4 if I'm generous. This bigenormous guy or whatever has no clue what he's talking about on any post.

  4. It would be the most boring fight ever.
