What would humans be like if our level of consciousness evolves?

I heard this about the "spiritual awakening."

who says that is possible? what if there are no levels? what if this is what we are and there is nothing else? Or maybe we would just "evolve" into super hippie types and our minds would be different...

The true answer to this is: nobody knows.

The reason for this answer is: nobody's done it yet.

As we evolve, we learn new things and new ways of understanding. If we evolve and attain a new level of consciousness, we might be more miserable, or more happy, depending on how we interpret that consciousness.

An old Zen koan says that a man achieved enlightenment, and after the Master announced this to everyone in the temple, one of the other priests asked him: "How do you feel?"

"As miserable as ever," was the reply.
