  1. Why is it important to have a title? I have found that when I had a business card with no title at all, people tend to think I am more important than I really am. Now that I have my own business, I just have a card with my name and company name, and slogan. Titles are so "yesterday" and have become inflated. Banks sometimes use "Managing Director" for their salesmen.

Just have your charity name, your name and contact info. It is very professional and will command more respect than any goofy title you might think up.

If you still insist on a title, I would say "Donor Coordinator" "Director of Giving" "Corporate Liaison" maybe.

Although you will have a very tough road ahead of you, just walking into a company and asking for money for a new charity. I dont mean to be rude, but I would not give you anything if I didnt know you.

  2. I could think of several names I would call you but you wouldn't want them on your business card.
