PS: this is just an experiment im trying, i dont actually plan to compete with anyone. So no lessons please on how noone can compete with eBay, im already more than aware about this seeing as ive been an eBay customer for 4 years now.

Thinking and dreaming big is a good thing. In your question you have to create a website that has to build its credibility. It needs good advertising and creative webmasters. Creating a website like ebay you need webmasters of good quality. I would suggest you to buy sites already in business rather than going for a start from scartch.
