What would iran possibly want with bombing israel?

why would iran even think of doing it .im persian myself but i dont get it. plz dont leave comments like cause they got a psychotic president in office i mean is there really a diplomacy behind it .

I don't think its diplomacy, its been a long standing policy by the Islamic nations in the region to get rid of Israel. They've been trying since 1948.

Remember the Gulf War, and the Iraqi SCUDs going off over Tel Aviv?

Ok, you should know that the islamic government of Iran does not recognize Israel as a state. With bombing Israel, Iran wants to wipe out Israel from the map. Before, Iran has always helped the Hizbullah of Lebonan to attack Israel.  Hizbullah is the only armed shiai force outside Iran, so the Iranian government will do anything to protect them.

Arab countries have an inferiority syndrome about Israel.

Iran want to show that it's stronger than Israel, and therefore stronger than the Arab countries, and so the gain dominance in them (see the live example in Lebanon).
