  1. that depends where you live and prices vary over demand.

  2. all i have to say is: start saving....

    Best wishes!!!

  3. This cost will vary by region in the U.S., so you need to call several contractors/residential construction companies in your area to get an idea.  It will usually be by the square foot.  Where I live, I could probably get it done for around $200K, give or take.  Part of that is the cost of construction where I live, the other part is that I'm experienced in this kind of construction, and could do much of the work myself, and if I pay as I go and can afford to do it as well as take my time with it, I could probably get it done for less.  Also, remember that the cost per sq.ft. will be determined in part by what you're looking to spend as far as quality and luxury.  If the average cost in your area is $175/sq.ft., & you decide to spend $225 per square, you're talking about a jump in cost from $492,800 to $591,360, a $98,560 difference.  After looking at the house you're considering, you really wouldn't want to half-*** it by cutting corners.  A house like that only attains its true value when someone takes the time and spends the money to build in the quality and value a house like that projects.  Incidentally, you're talking about a mortgage payment in the neighborhood of $3700-$4400 a month.  That's at 6% for 30 years.  Good luck, hope this helps...

  4. Depends on where it is built, but wherever you are thinking of building it there will be a rate per square foot that construction costs in your area.  For example, where I am it cost about 100-150 per square foot to build a house as of a few years ago (and add the cost of land to that) but for really nice or spartan houses this estimate can still be a bit off.

Anyhow, do some research for your area and you can probably figure out the per square foot cost range where you are.

  5. It's hard to say, there are so many variables  you have to take into consideration, cost of materials, lot, construction overruns, downpayment and the list goes on. You will have to have a good builder as well and of course, lots of money! Good Luck with your house

  6. In Texas you could have a house like that in the 250-300 K (likely with a pool etc..) WITH the land...

  7. A pretty good rule of thumb is about $100 - $150 per sq. ft.

  8. It really depends on where you build, what the labor rates are there, and the cost of materials.

I would estimate that, without details at around 500k, including the foundation, but not the land.

  9. All the houses that I looked up started at around $375, 000 ( and went to 600,000) and many looked similar to that one. Of couse it would depend on where it was located, upgrades, land, etc..

  10. .  $ 200 per sq ft so $550,000 plus the land cost.
