What would it cost to have a thermostat fitted to a boiler or hot water tank?

The approximate cost of fitting a thermostat to a boiler or to a hot water tank?

Any help would be much appreciated

I am engineer for british gas so will try to help if i can. firstly why do you want to replace your thermostat on your hot water tank as they are normaly relaible, are you sure it needs replacing. if it does need replacing they cost about £10 and take 20 mins to wire in. feel free to ask any more questions. lee

the thermo stat should cost about £20 and it should only take a plumber 5 mins, you could do it yourself very easily, if you go to a small plumbers merchants they will advise you how to do it, or reccomend a plumber to do it ! Good Luck
