  1. It could potentially cause a respiratory infection but I don't think it's as likely as scale rot if, like the other person said, the substrate is constantly damp.   Scale-rot is not pretty and can be very serious.  I have my ratsnakes on blank newspaper so I don't really have the problem of the substrate absorbing the moisture in the air.  It would have to be really humid for that to happen.  If the humidity only occasionally hits 70% on really humid days and the substrate isn't damp I wouldn't worry.  If it's consistantly that high, try increasing the air flow in the cage.  If it's in an aquarium, I don't think you can increase the air flow much more.  If it's in a wooden cage, try drilling a line of holes in the side of the cage.  Make sure the holes are a much smaller diameter than the snake's head though.  If your whole house has high humidity I guess buy a good dehumidifier.  Corn snakes are pretty tolerant of changes in humidity though.  Mine just deal with whatever the room humidity is which can hit 70% in summer for a few days and go down to 30% in winter.  They've never had a problem.  The crucial thing is that the substrate isn't damp.

  2. It can cause a respiratory infection or blister disease (if the substrate is wet). Create more are flow and maybe change the bedding (bed-a-beast dries out easily). The humidity only needs to be lowered like 20%. It shouldn't be too hard.

  3. what kind of substrate are you using for the corn?  if you are using a cypress mulch substrate it might be adding too much humidity to the tank.  aspen pine bedding is best for snakes that don't need a whole lot of humidity.  the snakes also love to burrow in the stuff.  snakes like corns, milks, and kings i only spray when they are shedding other than that i don't spray their tanks at all.
