    Absolutely. It would be a grim sign of the times for football, and some might say it's no wonder clubs like West Ham are looking to cut their huge bills when a club like Portsmouth, FA Cup winners just a few years ago, can stand on the precipice of disaster. Certainly if the club goes under, the city of Portsmouth will be devastated.
