djanonysmous I culdnt have said it better myself.  Mayweather doesnt "RUN" from anyone.  Just because some people on here may not appreciate his style dont insult the man because he treats boxing as a business.  This is professional boxing and he is a shrewd businessman and he knows that fight will be made eventually but right now the biggest money, justified or not, is against Oscar again.  It may be boring but you know people will order it anyway because these two are amazing fighters and their reputations have made the sport recently.  Floyd will only be around another two years in my opinion but I think before he is done he will beat DLH, Cotto, Mosley and maybe even Margarito if he is still around just to shut all those critics up who claimed he was ducking him.  What a joke.

where do you get your info. when have you heard cotto call out mayweather. thankyou never! cotto puts everything in the hands of his promoters. and his promoter bob arum talks noise but hes also in seek of the biggest draw. and even he knows a cotto mayweather fight right now wouldnt be that big of a draw right now. wants mayweather gets another copromotion with golden boy his company would be a little more of the ground in order to make a successful draw against cotto. arum talks the talk because he knows mayweather is still a amatuer promoter and would try to get all the money. cotto vs mayweather is a good potential fight but right now its not that great. cotto with two more wins and the rematch of delahoya would promote a good cotto mayweather match. but get your story straight cotto has never called out mayweather because other wise he wouldnt have jumped so quick at fighting gomez.

He's afraid (Gayweather) he'll keep running away from Cotto, and then when they finally meet (and Cotto will win) people are going to say that Gayweather wasn't in  top condition.

Frank so he is ferocious I agree if you consider ferocious getting his *** beat for half of the fight because of his horrible defense and glass chin, and then taking a couple a shots to his opponents nuts then you are right on.

The fight will happen.  As much as any real fight fan doesn't really want to see De la Hoya / Mayweather II, it only makes sense for Floyd to take the fight.  He will be making way more on that fight than he could against Cotto.  But, after he waxes Oscar again, there will not be any other matchup for Floyd that could bring in that much cash.  So the Cotto fight will probably be his biggest draw.  He's definately not running from him.  If he never fights him, then your right, he is running.  But he's got many years of fightning left if he wants.  It only makes sense to take the big payday on another decent fight and just set up the Cotto fight to be the biggest thing ever.  It will also give Cotto time for another couple of victories, which will make him more of a household name.  People were saying Mayweather should fight Paul Williams next because he was too dangerous for him, guess not huh.  Mayweather is proven.  Williams obviously is not.  Cotto is close, a couple more fights will secure that.Why not fight De la Hoya again and then Cotto, only makes sense.  You Floyd haters kill me.  And by the way, Floyd will absolutely pick apart Cotto.  TKO in 10.

It won't be a TKO in 10. And who wants to watch another dance of PBF and DLH ? I'm definitely not buying this fight. It's a waste of time and money.

I must say though that PBF is a shrewd businessman. He is waiting for Cintron, Margarito and Cotto to knock each other out, plain and simple. He doesn't want any part of them.

ps Cotto doesn't pitty-pat like Hatton. His punches are fierce. This fight would PBF's most grueling of all.
