  1. I like Dementieva and i hope she wins :)!

  2. I feel very torn about this because there is part of me that really wants to see another all Williams final, something I feel we may never see happen again, and then I would love to see Dementieva win that elusive Grandslam that she truly deserves. That would make my entire year!!! LOL

How can she beat Venus? Well its going to be tough anyway you take it, but seeing that in her only 2 wins over Venus came as a result of a third set tie break, I say she needs to stay close with Venus and hold her serve, and if the two opening sets was to go into a tie-break, the she has a shot! But Venus has been serving very well all tournament so its going to be a tough one for Elena.

  3. i want to see a wiliams sisters final. I doubt Dementieva beats Venus. Very unlikely. They never played each other in grass. I give dementieva a 0.1% to win.

  4. it would be a miracle.

  5. Mental composure...she doesn't need to get fretty if the match goes to the third set like she was against Petrova....like someone said i'm torn because Venus is my favourite of the William sisters and i also love Dementieva to death.

  6. You are right.  Dementieva is doing better now and unfortunately her biggest enemy is herself like Venus.  Dementieva is emotionally very weak and cannot win against top players because she crumbles all the time.  She is getting better but I think time is against her.  There is no way she can play the way she does and win.  Venus too can go off but she tends to play much better against top players.

  7. Dementieva having a really good day and Venus have an off day or an injury.

however, both of these possibilities are unlikely.

  8. I'd say Dementieva needs to get up a break or two early in order to have a decent chance...maybe get her overthinking.

If Venus stays focussed and doesn't lose composure, I think your prediction is bang on.
