What would it take for mtv to actually be mtv?

I don't know how many channels mtv actually has now but I do have mtv and mtv2.

By just looking at the shows on the site they have more shows that are not music related at all then they do of...well music/music related things.

Music television is not : The X Effect,Exposed,Next,Rob and Big,Life of Ryan,Laguna Beach,The Hills,Super Sweet 16,The Paper.True Life,Made,The Real World,From G's to Gents(who the h**l chose those "G'S" lmao..),Pimp my ride,and the list can just go on and on.

Sure these shows might be enjoyable but if they are related to music at all it is VERY LOOSELY.VERY few of the stars on these shows made/make music,and if they do,you do not see it on the show.The channel is called MUSIC TELEVISION.As far as I know that is semi false advertisement because other channels do play more music then them.I'm suprised these people have not been sued or forced to change names.What will it take for them to be based more on music nd music videos.Artists can't even influence them.

I agree. Although they those shows do seem to appeal to teenagers, they are in no way related to music. I think now MTV are going for their ratings. Things that teenagers will like. Even if, in no way, they are related to music.

Right now FNMTV is on. And By far I believe that is the best show. It's all about music, finding and exploring the new and old artists.
