  1. Racial equality is already here, and always has been.  Nothing can be done to eliminate racism.  It will likely always be here.  Unfortunately, a few racists use ther power to disriminate and hurt others.

  2. Racial parity will be achieved when the concept of race, itself, is negated.  I never expected any of those things: reparations, apologies, or a black president.  I expected people to stop equating race to everything.  It is insignificant compared to worse matters.

Things will be "even" when race is no longer of any significance.  Yet, as Americans, we feel the need to classify.  So we are far from this goal.

  3. this is a really good question, but it is also a funny one too

I don't think there can be racial parity for the simple fact that people are aware of race. so they will always view that person as not just another human, but a particular type of human. and depending on the race, it could be "the greedy, the lazy, or whatever preconception is attached to that particular race.

I guess if we were all dogs, and came in all colors, sizes and shapes things would be a lot easier.  LOL

  4. Racial parity will be achieved when there is no more cross racial awareness.  In that never-never land, the color of a peson's skin will not be an issue, so it won't matter.   I don't think reperations will work because nobody alive today has been "owned" by another. Having a black president won't change anything at the real-world level.  Statistics can be made to say whatever the heck the writers want them to say.  Things will never be even until race is a non-issue.

  5. I do not feel racial parity has been achieved, as we have not even been able to achieve gender parity.
