  1. Real participation in the electoral and most importantly in the reporting of the electoral process.

This means get rid of Ted Turner, and his ilk.

He will not ever report fairly. Neither will the vast majority of the other "news".

If you want honesty you cannot be bribed by old movies and reruns of Dragnet, either. Most of the "procedures" on most cop shows are not even universally followed even by those police stations filmed on "reality TV". Why would they? Miranda was struck down. Search and seizure laws mean nothing in an era wherein the police on a rumor will follow an order to forcibly evict vertually anyone from his home, and then permit one sided "divorce" case law to ruin him.

We need respect for those who can get these jobs done, the Liberals. But as it is we jail them or call them mentally ill.

Did you know in most states being unemployed for 6 months constitutes a right owned by unelected "government officials" to forcibly administer d ope? Well, hey, how would you like that statistic applied to you, merely to make the unemployment figures "seem better" ??

The mentally ill aren't counted on such figures so it's a "magic cure" politically to unemployment. Propagandists love to "find" there is nothing bad to report, due to a regulation forbidding the publication of data on the "newly found mentally ill" (it would in bizzaro world hurt their feelings or something to have it acknowledged that they exist and are being blamed and mockingly called insane for a trade agreement (such as de@dbeat dad laws ~ a trade agreement? why yes, imputed incomes prevent a US trucker from competing with a Mexican on average ~ ). These often favor the politicos and a foreign nation over our own. And our own don't get a say.

Ted Turner won't air anything on discrimination on his "public service".

He finds when he wins, you are served up nicely.

But I shouldn't be too hard on that particular fellow though. The judiciary are actually the worst of our lot ( -w- the "new" police a close second for permitting this ~ and I was a cop -provisional, I got run over- so blame me). They have formulated lies from laws that functionally forbid truth telling.

  2. I just found this  on the internet yesterday----Northhampton, Massachusetts passed a civil Rights Protection Resolution on May 2, 2002 which concerned the civil liberties violations contained in the patriot Act

    Check this out;  http://www.newrules.org

  3. You would have to convince either over 50% of Congress and the President; or 2/3rds of Congress to repeal it.

In order to do this convincing you yourself need to not only be an expert on the Patriot Act but you have to be able to come up with alternate solutions to the issues that the Patriot Act addressed.

What percentage of the things you 'know' about the Patriot Act are actually true?

  4. Elect Senators and Congressmen with a little common sense in November.

  5. A court could declare it unconstitutional or it could be superseded by a new law.

  6. The law would have to go through the House and the Senate and if the votes are not favorable the law would be terminated.  This is a lot tougher than it seems.  It would take an enormous amount of lobbying on the part of the people who want the law rescinded,  They would have to line up a majority of Representatives and Senators to defeat the law.  It could be done if someone wanted to take on the task, but it would be a bloody battle because not all Democrats would vote "yes".
