  1. Karl Marx is of the opinion that capitalism is the root cause of poverty because it forces a person to sell themselves as labor in order to secure a sum of money for food and shelter. he feels that the capitalist keeps to much for himself. He feels that capitalism is unequal distribution of wealth.

Karl Marx failed to see that politics and non democracies are the biggest cause of poverty in third world nations.

  2. unequal distribution of wealth.

  3. He has a lot of reasons why it's functional and dysfunctional. In our society he points our that it's necessary. The Sociological Imaginaton book is a bit confusing, but his Functions of poverty chapter is a pretty easy read. To get the full understanding you should read it, it's really interesting!
