I have a feeling my neighbor is trying to kill my palm tree cause it's seems to be dying and I can't see any damage to the trunk and I know he wanted me to take it down to improve his view. What can I look for that might cause it to die?

  1. He probably just poisoned it. Hopefully it dies and falls on his head.

  2. chainsaw

  3. I would say any manner of harsh chemical be it a pesticide or a chemical intended for the killing of vegetation in copious amounts. Your neighbor could be doing this while you're gone. Another idea is salt, enough salt will begin to kill a plant. They could be dumping a salt solution near the roots. The  other explanation may be that it has simply caught a plant disease and is dying from the inside out. Finally, if you believe in witchcraft lol, perhaps they cast a spell on the tree, who knows. That's all I can really think of. Hope it helps :P

  4. look at the emerging leaf to see if it is rotted, or dead.

    they could of..

    destroyed the roots

    purpusely flood the plant

    given it weed killer

    given it salt water

    i would add miracle gro.

they have one that attaches to a hose and it comes with the hose attachment. if you get that keep the hose feeding the plant for 10 minutes so it thouroghly feeds.

if this one dies get a stronger BIGGER palm.

    some strong palms are

    sabal palms

jelly palms (expensive for large sizes)

date palms (take up a lot of veiw too! )

    cocunut palms (tropics only)

many other stong palms out their but these are the most common

  5. he might have put some kind of poison in it ow on the ground around it like a bunch of weed killer
