  1. Check out life in the nasty industrial cities in Asia or Russia.  That's how it would have been here, if it hadn't been for environmental law.

Emo, hey when I was a kid, they were convinced we were going to blow up the world in a nuclear war with Russia.  It's always something.

  2. I don't know what it will be like, however I do know that despite the acrimony at times between opposing views we have accomplished much already.   The great lakes were much more polluted years ago, and cities across our nation have made strides on cleaning up pollution.  Can we do more? absolutely; but it needs to be a mutual effort where government plays a small role and the private sector is allowed to come up with innovative solutions that will benefit all of us.

  3. In the future, the people will look back at our time and laugh at us for believing things like Bigfoot, the Y2K panic, and this global warming scare.

They'll wonder why we were so foolish to believe in subjective science as only objective science is accepted during these times.  Subjective science will be banned by law because it was wrong so many times in history.

  4. people will adapt and survive

in the future people will be using renewable energy

not for the environmental benefit but for economic benefit

    the world runs on money....

the worlds population will level out

  5. Don't worry about the future. Just live the present. Theirs no telling what tomorrow will hold. People have never put effort to help with the enviroment. Look at us now. OUR AIr and water is all Contaminated with all of gass and chemical.  People will

never try to do something about it. bkux they are all a bunch of SHEEPS. that believe everything they see in TV.

& the ppl that control our media don't want us to Do anything bkux that way they win.

  6. There's only so much pollution and population growth this planet can deal with for so long before it does something to deal with it.

Who knows how long before it happens, hopefully we're not on some kind of sliding scale where it is just going to get noticeably and exponentially worse every 20 years.

When you factor in population, land clearing, mining, and so on.  What happens when it just keeps going on and on and on?  Something's bound to happen.

Look where we are today, 6 Billion and counting, every country avidly working to be a developed industrialized nation, it's not going to get any quiter, that's for sure.

I think the day will come when people who once occasionally enjoyed anything from snow skiing to combing local beaches, will look back and wish more humans could have acted more responsibly because surely,  life's certain beauty and pleasures of today could be for those in the future, something seen in dusty old maps and encyclopedias.

Whether or not we like it, or can comprehend it... the population will continue to grow, we will continue to consume, we will continue to pollute, we will continue to change our environment... until, something potentially cataclysmic happens to our race or environment.

On the bright side (no pun intended), some of us could always move into the ground I guess.  Hopefully humanity will always survive now, but don't count on the next civilizations to have much oil, they'll have to come up with something which fortunately for them, will probably be less damaging to the planet.

It's too bad electric vehicles in the late 1800s didn't get kicked aside because of the explosion at the same time with the oil boom and fossil fuel combustible engines.

But who knows, maybe it is still not too late, that's what all of us should hope.

  7. If global warming doesn't stop, sorry to say, there won't be any future. I'm 13 and i'm in 7th grade, and in y tech ed class they said if this goes on than the world will end in 2030. How sad is that right?
