  1. we have wine bottles, vases, plants, candles  etc. but they all have related colors in them and things on them that tie them all together and tie together with the room

  2. JP check out  your thrift  or antique store and  get pitchers, vases, and maybe some old dishes, they come in all colors and are inexpensive.

    Good Luck

  3. Decorative pitchers, plates, vases, baskets, planters, etc. are good.  A colorful rooster is a nice tradition in a kitchen (very French).

Use colored ceramics, painted wood, wicker baskets, brass or copper items, to accent your colors as you like.    Plastic plants look good too . . . I like to put up some leafy material by itself (not in a pot) that spills over the tops of the cabinet a little bit.

I had an electric receptacle installed in my house, so I have a string of white Christmas lights lying on top to create some indirect lighting, really looks good as a night light.  If you have an attic above the cabinets, a receptacle and switch in your kitchen could be added without too much expense.

Resist the temptation to use the space for your meat grinder, turkey boiler, and the junk you should be storing in the garage.

  4. I have my collection of beer mugs. Several old whiskey bottles, and two old wine bottles form around 1920.
