..from age 17 to the present, now is 34. Home visits always have been congenial, last one was a year ago. No drugs, no crimes or boyfriends (as far as we know) packages are returned unclaimed. Emails go through but none from her.

  1. At 17, I'd say that's normal; at 34 it's not.  Maybe visiting is just not as important to her as to you (so she doesn;t try that hard), or there's some resentment or anger that she doesn't want to go into, so when she does visit, she acts as though everything is fine.  How far away does she live?  Would a visit be expensive or take a lot of time?  Maybe she can't afford it.

We can only guess.  I think the best thing to do is ask her.

  2. She is mad about something that happened.

She is living a lifestyle she knows you would persecute her for.

  3. RESENTMENT

maybe the way you talk to her or the way you treated her while she was a teenager.

or maybe its not u at all, maybe she is going through something and don't know how to express it.

  4. Maybe she feels bad about something in the past. Try visiting her, just to tell her how much you care. Maybe she doesn't know.
