What would make a good costume for an 8 yr old boy who needs to dress up as Da Vinci?

Blankets and a beret.  But like a big beret.

A big cape and a painter's beret, with a cardboard pallette and a paintbrush...draw on a goatee or a moustache with some dark eyeliner.

Well as lililou above but buy a stick-on beard too or draw one on with greasepaint because that would be fun for him!

Props could be a palette or even a telescope (made from a kitchen roll inner).
