Question:

What would make a good lucky charm?

So, I kind of think it would be a cool idea to carry a lucky charm around (not the breakfast cereal). I'm not too superstitious or anything, I just think that it may help change my mentality or make something more out of something boring (after all I'm pretty unlucky and I might as well try it :D ). Any ideas about what I could make my lucky charm? Maybe a 5 yen piece on a purple ribbon? Or maybe some homemade object?

Also, if applicable, what's your lucky charm?

All ideas appreciated, and please no rude answers or spam.

  1. When you're out and about, keep an eye open for a "holy" stone. Holy in the case means a stone with a hole through it. Many people deem them lucky although they are hard to find. Some others that are more common are:

    protection- Agate

getting rid of worries-Aquamarine or Sodalite

    business- Malachite or Citrine

    career- Garnet

luck in gambling -Aventurine or Tourmaline

physical energy (especially athletes) Carnelian or Smokey Quartz

    endurance- Smokey Quartz

making your dreams come true- Amazonite or Amethyst

peace of mind? Now that is lucky- Sodalite

luck in your marriage This is the love stone- Rose Quartz

understanding other people-Cat's Eye or Hematite

bringing in more money to your business- Citrine

    keeping your lover faithful-Emerald

    getting though the day- Crystal

    Increase your psychic powers- Amethyst

    better relationship- Hematite

fear of the night- Red Jasper

Just a few to get you started

  2. There are two methods.

One is to make a charm. If you make it yourself, it will be completely filled with your own vibrations and intentions. You need to get some books or info on the internet on the symbolism of different charms, including colors and materials. And some arts & crafts info on how to make stuff.

The other method, is that if you are in a store and you see something, some jewelry or other suitable charm, that you love and absolutely have to have. BUT it's very important that this happens spontaneously when you are not trying. You can't go shopping for a charm, because it will be contrived. It has to happen when you are not seeking it. Some object calls out to you.

It's also possible that you already own a charm. Something you already bought because it called out to you, you just had to have it.  Or something you have had since you were very young.

The next thing, once you have the charm is to consencrate it. You need to do a ritual to clear it of any bad vibes, to bless it, and to fill it with your specific intentions. Any good witchcraft book will tell you how.

The next question is how to carry it. Some people wear their charms openly like jewelry. Other people conceal their charms. Your preference. But, DON'T LET ANYONE ELSE TOUCH YOUR  CHARM. It should not  ever come into contact with anyone else, it is for you alone.

  3. My mom gave me a folded up dollar bill. She said it was so I would always have money in my wallet. duh. I'm always gonna have that dollar bill.lol.

It works but someone has to give it to you. There's some certain way that it has to be folded, it's in a triangle shape and has the pyramid on top.

  4. rabbits foot

  5. Four-leaf clover

    Rabbit's foot

    Horseshoe

    Charm bracelet

    Wishbone

There's a few.. Maybe a bracelet with a few charms on it or something? A penny that you found on the ground one day or something? Key chain? Something that you really treasure?
