I have many plants including this beautiful Jade plant, all of a sudden it has started to drop a leave about every other day & the leave (or pedal) is somewhat lighter in color. I test the plant before I water it with a moister meter & feed it about once a month. It's about 3-4 years old & a good sized plant, I really don't want to loose it. The leaves seem to hang down & they used to be standing outwards before.

  1. The most common reason for leaf drop in the jade plant is over watering.

The jade is like a cactus, and the problem with moister meters is they are reading moister for the average plant.

If you are watering once a week it is probably too much. It is always better with a jade to under water.

Another problem is they don't like to be moved, If you have moved it recently? It could cause this problem also.

Jade need to be fertilizer about every four months. A good rule of thumb is when they develop new leaves.
