What would make gas prices go down?

increase in oil production but thats not the solution. alternative fuels would not only make gas prices drop but itll start us on a better path to the future

...a big part of the problem is the enormous demand for fossil fuels in the USA...but its not as simple as drilling for more oil...it would take a huge capital investment to make that happen and if a company attempts to then the Saudi Arabians could possibly adjust the prices of oil and destroy that competitors chance at a profit ...there are also other economic and political issues involved...there are other sources of energy that are available to us and we need to stop arguing about it and seek out anything that will make America less dependent on foreign oil...

Clean out the white house and get rid of the oil boys.

In the short term - a drastic reduction in demand or an immediate increase in oil production.

In the long term - a decreased demand, increased oil production, investment/research/development in solar/wind/electric energy, alternitive vehicles...

it will probably never happen but if everyone went without gas for 2 or 3 days that might help   ?  =)
