What would make your end a friendship with you best friend??

well i had problems recently which made me think soo i wanna know what you think

i used to be 'best friends' with some1 eva since i was 12, then i moved away and we drifted apart , which hurt me, esp as i was going to a hard time and really needed her there, but i made it thru on my own,

then few yrs later she apologised and came back, she wa sthe closet thing to me in the world, so i forgave her, and went back to normal again, being best friends,

then she met her bf i met my hubb and we started drifting but she totally dissaperad again, again at a time i really needed her, she ddnt even come to my wedding!!!!

then a yr later she came bak apologised, i ddnt wna know, hubb saw her persistance so told me to giv her a chance and b4 i knew it it was like the old times, but suddenly , 1day out the blue she went again, i tried to contcat her as i ddnt know what was going on, ddnt hear from her,

then 6 months ago she rings me , gives me a load of BS as to why she had not beenin touch, and i just told her i was not interested,

i realised my normal friends were better friends than her, it was hard for me to accept as she was like my sister and i wud have chopped off my right arm for her, but ddnt wna put myslf thru that again, the not knowing if she was gna be ther or not,

even as i write this i miss her badly, but she was too selfish, i did everything for her and was there wheneva she needed me but when i really needed her, she wasnt there and in my book that means she ddnt care,

well enaff of my sob story, lol,

just remember friend'ship' is a 2way thing, it needs both of u to board in order for it to sail! :)

I also had a issue with my friend a long time ago and I ended my friendship with her because she was selfish. I was going through a rough time in my life and when I needed her she wasn't there for me and I got tired of her attitude and bull c**p. I stopped talking to her after i blew up at her. If your friend isn't being a friend at all there isn't a reason for you to keep being their friend. Go with your gut.

I stopped talking to my best friend because after she started dating my brother she started bad mouthing my husband who by the way let her live with us when she was in a bad situation with no where else to go.  I let her know real quick that my husband would be with me long after she's gone and that if she didn't want around my husband she wasn't welcome in my home anymore.

I had to end a friendship with my best friend recently. I just went about not talking to her as much anymore. Gradually, I talked to her less and less and even though she would text me constantly for 2 weeks, I just ignored her and eventually she got a clue. Sure, she was pissed, but she was never a good friend to me, and I didn't need to be ignored and lied to like I was when I was friends with her. Hope this helps :)

I don't want to be too simplistic here in this response, so I always understood a friend to be someone who knows all about you and still likes you. I never felt that we unconditionally saw eye to eye on everything, and as long as we both understood where we are on some things we were fine. I like some disagreements and different views in my life, and I respect the other person's view point even, if opposite poles from mine. Arguments and violent disagreements and lack of respect would alter some wishes to continue with the bonding. So my answer can't be simple. So in less there was a serious falling out and you didn't want the connection anymore and the bonding, depart amicably and let the friendship lie in dormant state. It might rekindle someday with a different perspective or understanding. Life is more about the people we bump into as we go and less about the mindset. I think the caring should come first and just close your eyes wishing it didn't have to end this way.........
