What would my average be? 10 POINTS FOR BEST ANSWER?

Okay, well I have a %57 average in my science class right now. This is the mark I am going into my exam in. My exam is worth %20. What mark do I need to get on the exam to pass my science course?

A pass is exactly a 50.

well, only your teacher really can give you an answer on this, it depends how many points you have in your class, like how many assinments you had. some assinments are worth like 5 points and some are worth 20 and so on, so if you got a 100% on your assinment that was worth 5 points and a 50% on your assinment that was 20 points, your average is not just going to be the 2 grades averaged together cuz they are worth different point, so your grade you would think would be a 75% together but it would really be a 60%.  I hope that you understood what i said, lol. So, only your teacher could really tell you what you would need to get cuz they know how many points are already added in to your 57% that you have now, how this helps!

the first person is right. 22%. a pass is totally not a 50%.

You need a 22 to get a 50 in the class.

If the exam is 20% the rest of the class is a 57%

So if you got a 0 on the exam, you would have a 45.6 in your science class. A 22 would get you exactly a 50.
