What would my mom want for her birthday?

Of course I could just ask her, but that would sort of take the fun out of it.

She likes all the regular "woman stuff" like dinnerware, furniture, shoes and such. But I don't know what to get for her 44th birthday. My budget is $150, so I need opinions. She's also trying to lose weight. Do you think I could get her something to help her lose weight and then some other stuff like a $50 gift certificate to Marshall's or something?

You are interested in your moms health and want her to get exercise.  A pair of sneakers for mom is great and please don't tell her about losing weight!  go with mom for walks and get her an inexpensive headset so she can listen to music and boogie with her sneakers.
