theory?  I don't think he was known for his "theories", I think maybe predictions.  But truth be told, i don't think the world has become more that, I think it's just starting to be seen more. Dating back to nostradumus's times, the men of the day carried on relationships with little boys, etc.. it wasn't out in public as much, but was probably even more common than it is today.
