Question:

What would offer more space in a dorm room? 2 lofts or bunk beds?

I've recently moved into my dorm and the default set for the beds is two lofts. My roommate wants to bunk the beds because he says it will provide more space. It would open things up more, but I don't think it would be too much more space. I like the beds how they are because I enjoy the desk space under the loft. What do you think my options are? I wonder if it would be possible to move the two lofts to different spaces (I'm away right now so I can't see myself) to provide more open space.

  1. Hmm, Bunk Beds offer more room.  Also, i hit my head getting up from under the desk in the loft several times.... however if u both have lofts, both of you will hit the ceiling one time or anther, because the desks require a lot of room underneith.  with bunks, you both can alternate per semester, or something as well.

one bad thing about bunk bedas or lofts is that they suck when you have a girl sleep over, or if you are a girl, a boy sleep over.

I enjoyed my loft, but i hit my head way too much, that i took it down.

    Go with bunk beds.

  2. If you like your bed as a loft and your desk under it, stick to that.  Stand up for what you prefer.

  3. ive lived in both within the same year, and if you want the most space use the loft kits. you have the desks under the beds nd you can fit the dresser under as well, if you put your two cupbord things close to it you hav e lot of open room. keep in mind you should put the bends somewhat close to eachother aka the same corner of the room so that you can have the entire middle open. besides to you really want to feel everything your rommate does at night... could be awkward
