  1. Of course thats normal, you have a growing bird on your hand. LOL! Baby birds tend to eat every other hour at first, but after a couple of months they'll eat every four hours. Its normal and most of their energy is needed for their growing body. You can give your bird small bird toys from a local pet store, or a baby toy from Baby's R Us. For Ex, plastic car keys, plastic teething rings and etc (just make sure its not the teething rings with the liquid in the middle, and the baby toys must be plastic!!!) Just make sure the bird doesn't break the toys into tiny pieces, if the bird does that they may end up consuming a piece and getting really sick. Congratulations on your new bird and I hope I helped!!!

  2. Yes, your bird is fine.  Eating is a good sign.  As far as toys, get some puzzle toys, you know, things that work their brains.  Greys also enjoy swings and ladders.  Get it some wooden toys so it can chew, and some toys that have a "shredded" look to them. Just because your bird is a baby, does not mean she has to have human baby toys. They will not last long because your bird with chew them up quickly. It is perfectly able to play with regular bird toys at this age.  Buy lots of toys, but only put half of them (without crowding the cage too much) in the cage.  A few weeks later, take them out and replace them with some of the ones you kept back.  Keep rotating them every few weeks  and moving them around to different places in the cage so the bird does not get bored.  Greys are extremely intellignent and a lot of things to keep them busy.  Keep her wings clipped so she can play on the outside of her cage while you are home. Also make sure you get one cement perch for your bird to keep his beak in shape and it will also help keep his toenails from getting too sharp. Please read my profile
