  1. it could actually refer to any number of things such as club head replacement, grip replacement, shaft replacement, lessons etc.

  2. Its when they have to send your clubs to be fixed, regriped, reshafted ect. or someone comes into from another location to do it.

  3. Basically outside services do things like washing and preping (score cards, tees etc) golf carts, cleaning members' clubs, stocking the range with balls, driving the range picker etc.   Pretty much whatever the pro shop staff tell them to do.

  4. The shop outsources some of the services to 3rd parties - like for reshafting, regripping, and etc.

I think thats what it means..

  5. Anything not done inside the shop.

  6. I think what you mean is...

The golf staff is distinct and different from the "outside services" staff.

Golf staff = make and receive tee times, set up tournaments, self merchandise (inside type stuff)

Outside staff = include, but not limited to, washing golf carts, picking the range, helping golfers with clubs (usually tip based pay but mutch harder work.
