I imagine several possibilities would have taken place.

1) A series of independence movements would have isolated some colonies from others, forming variety of city-states breaking off from a British Republic of the Americas. Meanwhile the French and Indians may have held onto lands that are now part of the 50 states. Texas and Florida and California would have likely remained Spanish or fought separately against Spain.

2) Perhaps the British colonies would have become a USA of a different sort in a more recent time, much like India and Hong Kong.

3) Maybe the Indians, not being wiped out nearly as fast, would have gotten tough and threw the British out! Tribes long gone would have formed nation states?

4) Maybe there would be no Rock n Roll, Jazz, stuff like that, we'd still be making opera and writing orchestral symphonies?

What other things would be different?

  1. Good Question . . .really makes you think . . .Alaska would probably belong to Russia. . . the French moving up from Louisiana would fight for boundaries . . . .we would be a tri-lingual nation of Spanish/French/English or even a mixture of all 3.. . .there could still be slavery in the south . . .There wouldn't  be a Statue of Liberty . . .Lordy, I'm glad we won that war ! ! !
