  1. Let's put it like this: You should only buy a house if you love it. Most important, in my opinion, is getting a good feel from the place. If it looks alright but there's something about it that you aren't sure about, it's not right for you. This is a huge commitment, so make sure it's a house you adore. Then you have to be able to afford it comfortably so it's not a financial burden and you know that you won't have to foreclose in the future. That means having a good amount saved for the down payment, good credit, and a steady income. Then you need to be confident about the area that you are choosing to live in. Another thing to consider is whether the area fits in with your lifestyle - is it close to public transit or within walking distance of a grocery store and shops? If you have kids is it a good environment for them? Then you should think about whether the house needs any repairs and if so how much they will cost and how long you would have to spend on them (remember that something which seems simple - like landscaping the front yard - can be quite expensive and time consuming). After you consider all that carefully, if you still want the place, go for it.

  2. Assuming it's the size I'm looking for. . . the location,  or the layout of the floorplan, or if it had major structural issues.

  3. *If there were just too much stuff to remodel

    *cracked ceilings/foundation

    *too pricey

    *not enough space

    *not enough storage

    *bad location

  4. THE MARKET!!! NOW NOT A GREAT TIME TO BUY....WAIT A LITTLE LONGER....If you are not an owner, good news, house prices will keep droping.....If you are a home owner....more bad news.....they will keep falling....so not a good time to sell....or at least not for a profit.

  5. expensive for maintanence, whereas a council or landlord will have to pay out for everything.

  6. the vile smell of damp - enough to make a person physically sick.

  7. No parking, unless it was in central London, low ceilings or if there was not much natural light.

  8. a small garden

    tiny kitchen

    2-3 bedrooms

alot of trouble around the place like a ghetto

    to many immigrants

the house was on a hill

    or the house was haunted

  9. The price

    A poor location

    Dogs next door

    Noisy neighbours

    No parking

Too much to do inside to make it comfortable to live in.

I would go for a house in a good neighbourhood first and then consider the decoration, dogs and the neighbours. The houses I have lived in I have visited at different times and just sat in the car nearby to see what was going on.

  10. Bad neighbours (bad area)...crappy veiw....like ugly buildings opposite...busy road outside.....no garden or very small one....tiny kitchen or tiny bathroom.....everything else can be fixed.

  11. by the time its paid generally ur to old to enjoy it

    or your partners dead...

then you'll want somewhere smaller.. complete waste of time

    hahah

  12. the look of it at the front. if they cant be bothered to get the bit right that everyone will see, what horrors are waiting which you can't see...............
