What would qualify as a 'borderline minimum' sat score for East Asian hyp applicants?

  1. most asians get a score of 2000, but I think that the borderline minimum sat score would be a 2100 for good colleges but that is THE minimum cuz its actually much harder for asians to go to good schools than any other race


  2. i think it depends on how long u've been to the US (or other english speaking countries)

    if u were born in the US, u probably need at least 2100,  or even 2200

    but if u've been here for only a few years, maybe u can get something lower... (colleges say that they will consider foreigners' disadvantages on the SATs, but no one knows how much they'll consider)

  3. Borderline minimum...I'd give it a 2000, but that's the borderline, bottom of the pile, minimum for eastern Asians. I only say this because anything lower and the people who got those scores start to hide their face.

    The safe minimum then, would probably be a 2100, because then the average score for each subject would be 700, which almost always falls into the middle 50% (though the bottom of the range) of even the most prestigious colleges, including Harvard and Princeton.
